Summer Melbu is Nordland Academy 's annual cultural festival, and is one of Northern Europe's most exciting festivals. From the first Friday in July and eight days ahead the town of Melbu is filled with music, art, seminars, exciting activities, waffles and much more. Summer Melbu is be seasoned with events like a garden party, Johan Moe´s night, Market Night and Summertalents.

The entire community volunteers to create the festival together with Nordland Academy Arts and Science .
