Riddu Riđđu Festivàla is an international Indigenous festival annually taking place in Kåfjord municipality, in North Troms County. What started as a barbecue in 1991 organized by Sámi youth, has now become a leading stage and meeting place for the world’s Indigenous Peoples. Riddu Riđđu works to promote and develop the Sea Sámi culture and arranges year-round activities at home and abroad in addition to the festival in July. The festival became Eco-Lighthouse certified in 2004 and received hub status in 2009. Riddu Riđđu 2023 is held July 12th -16th and presents a broad program including children's festival, art exhibition, youth camp, literature, performing arts, music, film program, seminars, and courses.
