The Amandus film festival is a national film festival and competition for young film makers under 20 years old. It is the largest and most important festival of its kind in Norway. The festival is held annually the week before Easter, and over 600 directors and producers from across Norway travel to Lillehammer to attend courses, seminars and watch screenings of films made by and for youth. It is the meeting place between the professional film industry and young filmmakers in Norway.
