Norwegian Youth Chamber Music Festival is a festival where famous artists and young musicians from all over Europe perform in various combinations. The young musicians who participate are ambitious soloists and chamber players and have proven their outstanding capabilities in national and international competitions. The festival strives to reach out to a large public concert with new concepts and in new venues, and reach out to children and young people in an intimate environment with outstanding artistic quality. The festival is spread over the west coast of Norway (Stavanger region).

Norwegian Youth Chamber Music Festival, works with similar projects and festivals around Europe. In 2010 the festival participated in the Klara Festival, Brussels.

In  2013 , NYCMF started a project involving Austrian and Norwegian soloists on stage. The project is supported by the Concert House in Stavanger, the Austrian Embassy in Oslo, OMV , Sparebankstiftelsen Sr-bank and a yearly support from Stavanger City and Rogaland County Council.
