Varangerfestivalen is held in Vadsø every year in week 32.

The festival is owned by Vadsø Jazz Club which is a member-based voluntary assosiation.

In 2012 Varangerfestivalen celebrated its 30th anniversary, and this makes it one of the oldest festivals in its region.

Varangerfestivalen use various venues in the centre of Vadsø, and transforms Vadsøhallen to a full concert with capacity to 700 spectators. Other venues are Kooperativet kulturscene, Vårbrudd, Opticom, Bajassoteltet og Vadsø Kirke.
